Creative Gift Adornment

A few days ago, I stumbled upon these colorful wall decals by Lot 26 Studio.  While they're not really my taste for wall decor, I found them to be perfect little adornments for gifts and cards!  I also added a pom pom in the middle of each flower for extra color.  I bought two (20 count) packs on sale for $2.50 each, which was a steal compared to their retail price of $25.00!

I love giving things new life and for that price, I couldn't resist.

Do you ever stand over your child as they do an art project, encouraging them to stay in the lines, use certain colors or to not make a huge mess? I often catch myself doing all of these things while my little guy is trying to express himself. But, when I stand back quietly and let his imagination take control, I get the most beautiful masterpieces. I learn a lot from watching my kids. Their minds are free, unrestricted and know no boundaries. Next time you sit down to do something creative, try looking at it from a child's perspective. You may see a totally different point of view!
