Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Cream PIe

Here's a pie suitable for The King! Layers of banana, chocolate pudding and peanut brittle all atop a Nilla wafer crust.  Talk about "Taking Care of Business!"

A disclaimer about this pie.  I did not make it.

I did, however, devour it with delight and total disregard for healthy eating.

We had our good friends over for dinner this past weekend and my friend Danna brought this scrumptious pie.  You may remember her from the post where we made The Pioneer Woman's cinnamon rolls together.  Love her!

I affectionately referred to this pie all night as "Danna's Banana Pie."  (Try saying that three times after a few glasses of wine!)  Danna is such a great cook and she never seems to fail when it comes to trying new recipes.  Her attention to detail is remarkable, something I admire about her very much.

She made the pie from scratch, according to the recipe, but she did note that it could be simplified by using a store bought wafer pie crust and ready made chocolate pudding.  So depending on how ambitious your feeling, you can alter it to your energy level.

If you're interested in trying if for yourself, here's the link to the recipe.

Yeah, I ate that.  Every last bite.

The King would be proud.
