Girl's Night Out Gifts

girls night out gifts

Don't you love making a new friend when you least expect it?

When my son started preschool a few years ago, I had no idea I would met so many amazing women who were smart, funny, thoughtful, gorgeous, ambitious, successful.....I could go on and on.   These few women have become a source of daily motivation and encouragement for me and I have grown to absolutely adore them!

A small group of us managed to clear our hectic schedules and sneak away to Charleston this past weekend.  Among the seven ladies who went, we have sixteen children so trust me when I say this took a lot of effort and coordinating and of course some very brave and amazing husbands.  (Next time around I hope more moms can join us!)

This week I'll be sharing some details from our trip including our favorite shopping spots and where we dined but today I want to show you an easy DIY gift bag you can put together for your next girls night out.  I did have to do some searching and advanced planning to color coordinate the items but you can find all the "pink" links below.

A few of my favorite things I tucked into the weekend swag bags:

Little i Personality Mints with Mirrored Tin
Emergen-C Health and Energy Booster Pink Lemonade
KIND Almond and Apricot Bars
Ghirardelli Chocolate Raspberry Squares
Essence Long Lasting Lip Gloss
Ms. Manicure File and Clipper Set

I found the Martha Stewart pink scalloped treat boxes at Michael's which made packaging these sweet treats a cinch!

I hope ya'll enjoyed the weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today.  Looking forward to catching up with all of you on Twitter, Facebook and your own blogs!

  4. Oh these are so sweet & thoughtful! I bet your girls loved getting these - I know I would. The packaging is perfection. Love the little pink scalloped boxes and those adorable dahlia (or mum?) gift tags. Too cute!

Charleston is my second home. Grew up there in the summers. Fall is really the best time to visit the Holy City. Hope you Ladies had a blast!

  9. Hi Country Mouse!

I got the mini Smirnoff bottles from my local liquor store. Some stores carry more of the mini bottles than others so just shop or call around!

The raspberry flavored vodka pairs great with lemonade by the way :)

  12. @anonymous The flower gift tags were also from Michaels and part of the same Martha Stewart line as the bags. Hope this helps!

  16. Hello,

I love your girls night out gift bags. I was at AC Moore actually over the weekend and I was looking for the pink scalloped bags that you mentioned. But the ones that I saw look to be a bit small. Was it the pack of 8 pink scalloped bags you used? lol I just can't see how you were able to fit all of those items in there. Please let me know as I would like to try and use them.
    Thank you,
    Laurelle

  17. Hi,
I was at AC Moore looking for the Martha Stewart scalloped gift bags. But the ones that I saw looked so small inside. Did you use the ones that came in a pack of 8? I just wondered how you were able to get so many things inside lol.

    Cute cute idea!

    Please let me know?

    Thanks,
    Laurelle

  20. @Laurelle I believe those are the same ones. The boxes are only about 4 inches by 4 inches and I just stood all the items upright to fit them in. I didn't want to much empty space because they wouldn't stay in place.

@Anonymous The vodka bottles only contain 1 shot of alchohol. (Not sure the exact amount but I'm guessing between 1 -2 oz.) These mini bottles are often sold behind the counter at the liquor store so you may have to ask the attendant for them.

  21. Thank you so much for sharing. I actually put these together for a bridal party (I am one of the bridesmaids) and they were a big hit. I sent a photo to my Mom and she wanted one too, so of course I made one for her.

    :)

  23. @Anonymous- I'm so glad they turned out perfectly for you! I think they're really fun and it's the perfect way to say thank you. You can also really customize them to suit your friends interests and favorite colors.

  24. Saw these on pinterest! So cute and great little gifts. I think I'm going to use this as an inspiration for bridal shower gifts.

  25. These are fabulous - I keep coming back to look at them again and again. I've planned 2 bachelorette parties that involved little gift bags/jars and will likely do many more. I especially like your color coordinating. One question - what is the tall silver thing in the back? It doesn't seem to be listed in your list.
