Peanut Butter Pie

Life is so hectic right now with the start of school and T-ball season that I've been reminding myself to take things one day at a time.

But this recipe is something that's been weighing heavy on my heart for a while.  After reading this heartbreaking post a few weeks ago, I knew I had to make this for my family, especially my husband.  I admit that many days I'm so busy with the kids that I fail to take a  moment to let him know how much I love him.

I believe that food is just one way of showing those around us that we care...that we thought of them...that they're loved.

But take it one step further and tell them so...out loud.  It's something that can't be said enough.

Here's to slowing down a bit and taking time to reflect on the things that mean the most.

  1. I read that piece about Mikey as well and my heart stopped. I trust God's wisdom as best I can, but the loss of a Husband & Father like Mikey just has me befuddled.

I love that you made this for your family. I know that must warm Jennie's heart to see so many honor him that way. I need to make that peanut butter pie for my love as well.

What a sweet post & great reminder, Amy!

on a lighter note I agree with what u say about food..my grandma used to cook with love and she said if you do it with love then its more delicious! I have to agree with her :)

  4. What a sad but beautiful tribute her writing is about her husban's passing. So touching. I love how she now weaves him into her cooking.
