Caramelized Onion Dip

This is one of those southern recipes that is not only a classic but also a crowd pleaser.  With the holidays quickly approaching it's nice to have a few easy go to recipes on hand for visitors and potlucks. The Gruyere and Worchestshire add a slightly smokey flavor to this otherwise simple dip.  Needless to say,   I've never been to a gathering where this dip doesn't quickly disappear!
