When I traveled to Japan in 2008, I fell in love with so many things about the country and it's people but one thing that really impressed me was their attention to detail in even the smallest of chores. They have presentation down to an art and "bento," aka "boxed lunch" is no exception.
A Japanese friend of mine occasionally shares photos of her kid's lunch boxes via the web and I'm always so impressed with her "mom skills" that I've decided it's time I give it a whirl. I love, love, love this stuff and can't get enough of it!
I doubt I'll have time to do some of the more elaborate creations but I'm definitely gonna break out the cookie cutters and the silicone baking cups. I think it's a great way to encourage kids to try new foods.
Wouldn't you eat these up in a heartbeat?
These make me want to bring my lunch EVERYDAY! How stinkin' cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. And I was tickled pink when my Mom just put a sweet note in my lunchbox. Now I feel cheated, haha.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
These are so adorable. They are almost too cute to eat!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of these ideas. Maybe once it comes time to pack a lunch, my picky eater will be more inclined to eat someting like this. I'm "starring" it so I can come back to it. Thanks for sharing!
