I
finally got around to visiting
The Strand Theater this weekend and I must say, I was impressed! It was a full house and while the theater still drips with flashy art deco decor reminiscent of 1935, the crowd was young and had an energetic vibe. I couldn't get over how original the venue felt, despite it's recent million dollar renovations. There's nothing like going to a theater with a lit marquis and enjoying a cocktail while you watch your film. If you get there early enough, you can also enjoy a complementary
theater pipe organ performance.
My visit left me dreaming of art deco....geometric shapes, bold patterns, shiny fixtures and ornate details.
Isn't it fun? See more upcoming events at The Strand

I've always loved Art Deco, and I'm so excited to visit Miami for the first time this month b/c I've heard the AD architecture there is AMAZING! Will definitely be taking lots of pics. Thanks for the inspiration!
